Update on me

Since I am here I guess I should give you an update. A week and a half before Thankdsgiving i had a double mastectomy with trans flap reconstruction, then a few days before X-Mass I had the second phase of reconstruction, my doctor actually gave me my nipples at that time. so all that is left is the tatoos and the clean up of the scar tissue on my belly. The pathology report came back with cancer in the left breast again. However all was gotten with the mastectomy. My onconolgist is waiting for the slides from last cancer to see if it is the same cancer or a new one. The outlook is good, and Wendy and I are planning a trip to England in April, so as you can see we believe in the best.

    I remember you helping me in so many ways when I was on here about a year ago! England is a wonderful place and you both have a great time. You are a fighter and a mentor, so get on the gloves. You look great!!!!! Carlie

    Because I "see" you on FB, everything was a blur except for one thing...England in April. Reggie and I will be in Europe then too!!! OMG...could the 4 of us tear up some unsuspecting English village or what?????? We need to talk!

    TJ, great to see you!! Sorry to read about the best coming back but you sound very positive and I'm glad. Have a wonderful time in England and wouldn't that be cool to meet up with Chen and Reggie. Better get those attorney's on retainer NOW. LOL.

    it is so good to hear from you but I am saddened by your news. But I know you are a fighter and that Wendy and you will battle this together. Have a great time in England. Are you trying to book some engagements for our band? LOL Let us know the results when you get them and know I have you in my prayers.

    I didn't realize that they found cancer in your breast: that stinks. I'm hoping that there's no more treatment needed.

    But, I'm so happy to hear that you and Wendy are going to England. That sounds wonderful!

    TJ,

    I'm glad your bilateral mastectomy got all of the cancer. It sucks that they found more in your left breast.

    I wish you the best of luck and hope you two have a wonderful time in England. I hope you post some pictures of your trip for us to see after you get back.

    Take care and don't try to do too much.

    I am elated that you are living your LIFE. Cancer in the left breast, same as here .. Bilateral Mastectomy on 1/12/10 .. 1 year ago, finished TCH late December 2009, finished with 1 year of Herceptin late August 2010 .. Whew! Trying to recover and get back to normal..

    Glad to see that you are a few steps in front of me. Living in New York and traveling to Europe .. how grand!

    I haven't seen you on the boards much, i was not aware that you were getting a double masectomy and reconstruction done. I have heard that is a rough recovery. Do you know if you need to have any more chemo? Planning your trip to Endland will keep you busy for the next few months
