there's an article this date at physorg.com called "Evolution of cancer can shed light on drug resistance" which might be informative. Tho it won't ease your pain, it might give you something else to think about......steve

the lengthier material this article links to is rather heavy (to put it mildly) but parts may be useful

    Seems to make sense: if cancer cells are competing with each other to live, a la survival of the fittest,those that elude chemo/rad,etc are the ones that become mets down the road......Idea is interesting.......steve
