I went to get my hair cut yesterday. I told my stylist that when I was towel drying my wet head one day that I thought I noticed short hairs popping up...almost like new growth. She parted my hair in several spots and agreed. She said it didn't look like breakage but new growth! So I was baffled...I've been with a full head of hair for several months now. Gone for many haircuts and it was the first time either of us had seen it. I was on Arimidex for about 6 weeks but was just recently changed back to Tamoxifen. I've read somewhere that Arimidex can cause hair loss??? I did notice while on it more hair in the sink and I did lose my eyelashes again. Do you think that's the culprit??

Anyway, as always, what a journey!!!

    Also getting new growth.
I'm triple negative so chemo was it for me and I finished that in May 2009. I haven't gone for a haircut yet because my hair is growing back so curly but I have noticed new growth coming in under the curls. I haven't lost my eyelashes again but my eyebrows seem to go through phases where they thin out and grow back. I'm not sure there will ever be such a thing as "normal" for us again. As you said "what a journey"!!!

I have extremely thick hair and when it came back it was somewhat thin which concerned me (yes I know I just happy to have hair) anyway as time went on I noticed it thickening up, my onco just said sometimes our bodies are slow to regenerate because of all the treatments.

    Hugs,
