good news and bad news

I'm asking you to join me in prayer for Pam Berg, a family friend in Madison, WIS. Her husband, Mike, died this morning from brain cancer. He had been in hospice since New year's day. He fought it for a long time. When Mike and I could fish together, people would liken us to the characters in the movie Grumpy Old Men. I miss him terribly. Thanks for saying a prayer for Pam, she has a new burden to carry.

Now the good news

I went in for an ultra sound exam and no cancer was found. Blood was also clear. I get an exam every six months. I had a colon resection in Sept. 2008. and have been clear of cancer ever since.

P.S. Thanks to all who sent Christmas cards. I'm still getting cards one or two a day. It was great receiving them.

    combined bad news and good...just so we can not be crushed completely!

    I will keep them in my prayers, but so very very glad to hear of your news, that is just awesome. and you still owe me lunch dude, one day we will get to meet, hopefully maybe you can make one of the Paloozas, they are so much fun.
