folfox 5# went well THANK GOD I AM LUCKY
I wanted to share how lucky and grateful I feel, knowing but for the luck of fate, god or dna I could and maybe in similar shows next cycle. I pray my good run continues though and that we all make it through our chemo treatments successfully even if modified as needed.
Its strange how some weeks we end up in ER and others are like walk in the PARK. Go figure!!! Thought I would share some good news as our lovelly board needs ENCOURAGING positive news. Now given we all have cancer that can be pretty trivial good news is all we have sometimes but at least its positive. My breakfast today was sensational and its from the nearest cafe to the chemo ward and the owner knows I am on chemo cancer journey as she saw my drip poll the other morning when I snuck out of er to have a decent breakfast a few weeks ago.
Got my folfox 5 today and only 7 to go. Most of my bloods are below normal safe levels but fine for chemo. they are slightly this and that.
the next round maybe delayed.
this is despite having more red meat and a more balanced diet because of the seasonal treats everywhere. Actually gained 4kg to be 107kg now. I have gained 8 kg since being released from hospital with the LAR to remove the cancer 3 months ago.
took my emend this morning with dex and adavant. skipped vitamins and chinese medicine as per plan. Had super veg juice and flakseed oil and blueberries. Large omelette with salmon and fetta. I view the breakfast before chemo as my last. It was great.
I had stunningly beautiful chemo nurses looking after me today, did some reading , had friends visit, had nap, did some business calls, spoke with dietician and stoma nurse about swimming with bag on the holidays that are coming up. got all the goods secrets.
Also saw onc before my 5 hours of treatment, so its a big day from 10.30am to 5pm.
See told me everythings cool but she is worried about my juicing and diarrhea
which will be a separae post.
Good health to us all.

Hey Pete,

Hey Pete,
commented to you on my thread but thought I would say here so you can see it for sure..
YEAH!!!! Really very very happy that you are doing well!!!
When Jack first started he was doing well and I too felt bad to post that, bad for Lori and Lou who were having more issues, not bad for him of course. (o;
But I know now that when others posted their joy for him, they really really meant it. (o:
Im sure you will agree that all chemo nurses are stunningly beautiful. (o; I've decided thats what I want to be when I grow up, a stunningly beautiful chemo nurse.

This is good news! Your whole post was so nice + upbeat; I am glad things are going well.
went fishing all day on mates boat caught 2 flatheads
did equivalent of 35 washing machine loads at laundromat
my lovelly wife is a hoarder and our house is in chaos.
glad I had the energy and health to dothis with the kids.
got the kids icecreams and frozen fantas.
I thougth these are to good to throw away so I conducted my own medical research.
Had both with the mildest tingles, still really enjoyed them.
so go figure, I was pumped only 24 hours prior with oxali, go figure.
but I am grateful.
god bless us all.
