Booked to give blood!

Lol! I am really excited! I have just booked in to give my first pint of blood!
Before mum was diagnosed I hadn't even considered it, but after going into the chemo lounge and seeing people having blood transfusions , it has inspired me to do it. I know it may not be used for someone on chemo, but I feel I am helping in a tiny way.
I wanted to just donate platelets, but there is no where near me in the uk that does it :( oh well , full blood it is :)
Just to let you all know still going good with the non smoking! Yay!!!
