Well I'm not real sure but having them so often can be dangerous because the CT scan emits a dangerous amount of radiation. My oncologist always ordered CT with Chest/Ab/Pelvic but now only does Ab/Pelvic and chest x-ray. She did say they were concerned about the level of radiation and is trying to cut back on this. Over exposure to radiation can cause cancer too. Hopefully John23 will chime in, he is very good at these types of questions.
