Hi everyone it's been a while. sorry about that hope everyone is doing well. here's my issue in april my cea #was a1.2. It is slowly progress up all year to 1.7 in november. then on december 20th it was a 2.61.. that's a big jump right? they told me my remission started on february 23rd of this year... I so hope this is not an indication that the cancer is coming back. the doctors keep telling me that under 3 is normal and they took me off chemo the first time when I was at a 4.. I was just looking for a little advice on how they should be a cancer hopefully. could anything else make my cea go up?
Thanks lisa

love you picture
What a great picture as you are right life is not about waiting around it's about living each and every day. I am still new to this whole cancer thing with only being diagnosed in March of this year with stage 4 and at that time my CEA was 26 and has been dropping since then. It currently stands at 1.5 with one more round of chemo left in two weeks. Then it's the big CT to see if they got everything. I know that under 3 is considered to be normal but I would think the jump from 1.7 to 2.61 would at least get the onc's looking a little closer. MY onc tells me that CEA numbers go up and down and they only get nervous when the see it going up for 3 months in a row then they know something is going on. I pray that the next time you have your blood tested you will find the number has not moved or better yet dropped.
Praying in Dallas
