i haven't drank any coffee in months and after not sleeping a couple nights in a row because of my leg cramps/pain (supposedly from the arimidex) I had a cup and the pain went away within 5 min. I've been drinking about a half cup every time it starts now and it works every time. I even had to get up from bed twice and make a quick cup, and luckily was able to fall back asleep after the coffee. Probably because of the total exhaustion from not being able to sleep for about 2 weeks now....

    Whatever it takes to
Whatever it takes to alleviate the pain, I say go for it. I've read in the news recently that coffee is actually good for you. Now, that may change tomorrow. I'm glad you have found some relief.

P.S. I like your new pic!!

MamaG .. I am sure you've tried this .. but, have you
tried putting soap bars under your sheets to help alleviate leg cramping . . . . This has helped me with my ongoing charlie horses, my mom and several WARRIORS here on our site.

Insomina .. sucks, I still occassionally have bouts .. in 3's .. 3 days of sleep, 3 days of no sleep .. chemo has finished, but my insomina has not. I hate it, I want to jump out my 2nd floor window, get injured and have a doctor put me into a induced coma -- 2 weeks will do it! It's exhausting trying to find ways to put myself to sleep! Best of luck .. and continued success with coffee.

    Peace, sleep and Love,

    Well you see the lengths
Well you see the lengths Michael Jackson went to cure insomnia? I suffer from that as well, so far nothing yet has worked. I tried Melatonin and elavil. NEXT!!!

Very glad that you found something to help. The bar of soap under the sheets has helped a lot. I haven't needed that yet. LOL

so glad that you found coffee works for your leg cramps. I do not drink coffee. I am a tea drinker and because I have sleep apnea my dr has told me to drink decaf/herbal only. It also helps keep the bp down. I have not really had any insomnia but I'm sure it's awful. On the other hand I do get toe, foot and leg cramps. A bar of soap sits inside my sheets at the bottom but doesn't help much. My rheumatologist advised me to drink 1 glass of diet tonic water (has quinine) an hour before bed. When the cramps start I have to get up and stomp on my foot!
