Winter Marie Update *** New update***

Marie's husband reports that the surgery has gone well. It was a bit longer than anticipated, but the surgeons are sewing her up now and she is fine. Don't know any details. Lori and I will update when we know more. So take a short breath and send some more prayers, good vibes, strong thoughts and sparks her way.

*** New Update*** 12/21
Bottom line - The surgery was a success. I don't have lots of details, but Marie's husband, Mark, says that each surgeon was able to do what they set out to do. They are confident that they got all of the cancer.
The surgery finished at around 9:00 - an 11 hour surgery by my count!!! She is in the ICU now and is experiencing some pain. They even had to crack some of her ribs to get where they needed to be. Ouch!! Hopefully the doctors will get the pain managed very soon. I encouraged Mark to stay after the doctors. Marie has been awake and talking, but mostly she is out of it for now.
Mark said Marie may be moved to her own room tomorrow. He said he would get her lap top to her; so hopefully we'll hear from her soon.
Mark seemed in good spirits, although I know he is tired. I thanked Mark for calling with the update. Remind me to tell Marie to tell Mark thanks from all of us.
So Hooray for Marie!!! She's on the road to recovery.
