I looked for the canadian wines locally in Georgia. It was 20 dollars for half a bottle. Do you know of any particular brands that are good? I think I am going to have to try to do an internet order.

I would send you the link but I don't know how....google something called WineAlign....it is a great source of the best values in Canadian LCBO's....we are only allowed to buy wine at government store called Liquor Control Boards.....the wine is taxed so it tends to be expensive....anyway this is a great site....

    lnniskillin, or Vineland
lnniskillin, or Vineland States are the most accepted Canadian Wines, all of them white ,called "icewines".
    Seems they are pretty good!

    There are so many now
I ordered wine gift baskets from a Niagara area winery called Hidden Bench Winery. Their chardonnay is delicious but it is not cheap. Other good wineries include Peller Estates + Hillebrand. Are you just interested in ice wines? I will think on this some more. I haven't been to wine country for a little while. Before I got sick, a bunch of us were thinking of renting a limo + heading to the wineries for tasting + buying. I still want to do that someday.

There are some good reds here; we are still devleoping in the wine world but have come very far in the last 20 years or so. The wine area near me is sort of a special area where apparently conditions are good for growing grapes for wine - it is the Niagara region (near Niagara Falls) + has been a big fruit growing area for a long time. I guess wine is more profitable, because so many wineries have sprung up it is unbelievable. Many are very small, quaint wineries. Other areas in Canada are also know for wine, for examplw British Columbia where Cheryl Hutch + Kathy (Luvinlife2) live.

Anne, where do you live? I grew up in Canada in London, ontario. Just curious because you keep talking about Niagra Region - I love it there.
