A year without Brant

Hi everyone,

Remembering the beautiful life of my husband Brant today. I am so honored that I got to be his wife.

His life was too short, but it was lived well with lots of joy and love. I am trying hard to focus on that part today.

    Thanks for sharing. I was thinking of you yesterday; I guess I was off by a day. I am so sorry his life was cut short; he sounds like such a wonderful man.

    The pictures are WONDERFUL Melissa! I know this day is tough, but I think the choice you made to focus on the love, joy and memories, as well as William, will lift you. That would be my wish for you! We are here for you Melissa and we always will be.

    Hi Melissa,

    I'm sure your pictures are a wonderful tribute to your life with Brant. It's hard to believe a year has gone by already. We've lost so many from this board in the past year...
    May God bless you and your son and help you to look forward to your future even if that's been so very hard. You will always have your wonderful memories.

    I know how tough these holidays are. I lost my sister to this horrific disease at the end of April. She too was too young, she would have been 41 next week. My heart just aches for you and for everyone here fighting this disease. Thank you for sharing those wonderful pictures. He must have been a truly great man and you are handling this with such grace. I think of you often and pray for strength and joy during these difficult times.

    So sorry that you have lost him but so glad that you are remembering him in such a special way. This past year has had to be so hard for you and son. He fought bravely for his love for you and son. Remember he is looking down on you both for comfort and giving it to you one day at a time.

    After I posted the message on caringbridge, I went and looked at the pictures. So heartbreakingly beautiful. I never got to meet Brant, except for hearing about him from you on here, but looking at those pictures made me weep that he was taken so soon. I know it has to be so hard for you.

    Thanks for sharing your photos. I lost my husband October 1, 2010...not only did I lose my husband, but my son lost his dad. I'm so happy to have shared his life, but miss him!
    Looks like you had a wonderful life with Brant....loved the wedding photos with all the bubbles. Thinking of you...Cheryl
