Can someone tell me what all these different drugs treat? I am triple negative so I do not get any of these. I know that Tamoxofin is for women who are ER positive, and Herceptin is for those who are Her2 positive, but I don't know what all the other drugs are for. Can you please help me understand all of the options? And what is Avastin?
Thanks,
Linda

I'm on Arimidex
because my cancer was ER/PR+ and Arimidex is an aromatase inhibitor which means it supresses the body's production of estrogen/progesterone. Even though I am post-menopausal and my ovaries are hardly putting out any estrogen, I want to eliminate all the estrogen/progesterone that I can. Estrogen/progesterone is still produced in other areas of the body (to a minimal extent).
