Prayers and/or good vibes for Mom, please
I don't post much, read a lot though. Mom was crying tonight which prompted me to post this.
She is really scared about Thursday. I'm not sure if I mentioned that she had her first PET scan last week, since her surgery in July. We will be finding out the results this Thursday from the oncologist.
She has been a nervous wreck since the scan but tonight it has been pretty sad. I was changing her wafer and she was just looking up at me and the tears started. I asked her what was wrong and she couldn't speak at first. And then she said she just has a bad feeling about Thursday.
I remember when all of this started back in March before the colonoscopy. She said the night before it that she had a bad feeling and sure enough. "You have cancer".
I truly hope her predictions or feelings are wrong. I'm not sure how she will handle it.
She is a strong 79 year old lady, still wanting to shop and still "luving lunch" lol, but I can see how much all of this has changed her.
Well, thank you all for listening and any and all prayers or vibes or whatever will be much appreciated.
I wasn't going to post this but after seeing her tonight so sad, I figured we could use all of the help we can get.
Thank you again and best wishes to all for a happy and healthy holiday.
Love,
Linda (and sad Miss Ellie in the background, saying thank you)

Sending good thoughts
I am totally sending good vibes and thoughts to your Mom. I hope she hears only good news on Thursday. It is brutal waiting for the scan results. Last time I was going to have CT results; I too had a bad feeling, but my results were actually good, so sometimes our "feelings" are not on the money. Please give your Mom have a hug from me. She is lucky to have such a loving daughter.0 -
Me too!
Tell Miss Ellie that Cheryl is sending her good thoughts from over here on the West coast of Canada. It's only human nature to be nervous, scared and anxious before any kind of appointment where you are going to get results from a scan, tests, or combination of both. No matter how positive we are, it's impossible not to think... "But what if???"
So you tell Miss Ellie the feelings she has are very, very normal and she would not be human if she didn't have them. But, also tell her from more than a few of us who have been to these appointments for some time now... just because she's afraid of what she might hear doesn't mean that's what she is going to hear. And if the News isn't exactly what you all want to hear, it might not be all that bad either. As long as her oncologist has a "plan", then she's still in the fighting game... and it's unfortunate, but we all do have to fight.
Huggggs to both of you... remember there's always a group of us hanging about if you need to just type out what you are feeling

Prayers
Heavenly father you are the king of kings and we love you so very much. Tonight Linda asks for peace in her heart and the heart of her mother. So bless her with the spirit of peace and the spirit of comfort. I raise this family up to you so that when the results are read all will be fine. Linda I will be praying hard for your mother and suggest you look up St Perigine who is the patron saint of cancer. Say his pray with your mom and keep a positive attitude no matter what. Don't let the demons creep into your mind let the angels that surround us keep our minds fresh.
God Bless you both

Ahhh
Miss Ellie, looks so much like my mom, whom I got to finally got to spend time with this year.
Don't let the feeling win out, it's just a feeling, and oft wrong.
I know Thursday isn't close enough to know,, and the dreaded feelings start way to soon.
I'm hoping, praying, wishing for the best for your Mom.
Loves,
Winter Marie0 -
{{hugs}} to you and your mom
{{hugs}} to you and your mom I pray for great scan results for her. We all know how hard cancer is on your body, but it is just as hard on your mind. Fear and loss of hope can be very hard to deal with. I am sorry she is sad0 -
Prayers on the way
Dear Linda,
Tell Mom that prayers are on the way.
The waiting on test results is nerve wracking for sure. Perhaps if you ask, her doc could give her a little something to help during these kinda times.
Hugs to you both,
Marie who loves kitties0 -

Linda and Ellie: I wish you guys all the best!! Let's hope she has a bad feeling because lately the weather isn't the best either!!! If she is strong, this will not knock her down. She'll have to stand up, face cancer and spit into its face and say "you go to hell, I'm staying here!" I wish the best!!!0 -
Keep the positive thoughts going!Lori-S said:Linda and Ellie

Linda and Ellie, I will be
Linda and Ellie, I will be praying for you both. We know what you're going through. I pray that the fear of tomorrow won't rob you of one minute of today. That being said, don't be afraid to let the cork out and cry when you need to either. It helps relieve the tension. We're all pulling for you!
