Had to share some good news here with an amazing story behind it. My daughter was due December 15 and her husband was due to come back home from deployment for his two week R and R from Afghanistan on Monday. She had an inducement date for this coming Monday but made it Tuesday because hubby (son-in-law) was going to be home on Monday. Well he got home yesterday at 11:30 a.m. Of course they always say that sex is a contributor of labor LOL, well low and behold I got a call this morning at 3:30 that she was in labor. We have a healthy baby boy (TJ) 7 lbs, 4 ozs, 19 inches. Both are doing well. I witnessed the birth as her last one was when she was in the Army and I couldn't be with her. Just thought this was worth posting as we do have life living on and it is so special.

    Oh wow!! Congratulations to them!!! :) Awee...what's his name? :) 8 lbs? Wow...I was tiny compared to that! I was only 2 lbs!!!! But I caught up though because I LOVE eating! :) Although I'm still skinny...I guess that's my type...:) Your daughter and her hubby got their Christmas present slightly early. :)

    Wow,you got a new grandson for Christmas. How great is that. Really wonderful dad was able to be home for it. Please thank the new daddy for his service to our country for me. My daughter is in Afghanistan and I worry, so I'm happy he made it home safe for this. Happy Holidys.

    Way too go Grandma but it would have been cool on the 15th as this is my 39th birthday. From one Army Veteran to a current soldier please let your son in law know we love him and support him here in Texas.

    Congratulations Kim to you and yours. I'm sitting in bed watching cartoons with my five year old grandaughter right now. They bring such a joy to life. I'm sooooo happy for you.
