we are expecting snow and
we are expecting snow and blizzard conditions starting tonight and through most of the weekend. Potentially over a foot of snow. Then the bitter cold will hit and be with us for a long spell.
We are planning on hunkering down for the weekend. Went out last night for supplies- peppermint schnaps, hot chocolate and marshmellows.
I will dream of warmer days and times ahead.0 -

Interesting plans..nada
Hello Pepe!
Plans yes. Interesting? No!
I started today *degerming* ( cleaning )my kitchen, which hasn't been done in eons. Got about halfway through and had to take a nap so will hopefully finish tomorrow.Meanwhile the smell of Lysol permeates my home.
My plans for the weekend are so boring:((((

Not sure
I do know that I will be on hydration; I started again today + am supposed to have it everyday until Monday. I think it is the darn antibiotics. It is very annoying to be so fatigued. It is our company dinner at a lovely Italian restaurant tomorrow night. My husband + I have a small business. It is very doubtful I will make it; but who knows after hydration #2 tomorrow? I will probably watch a couple of movies while hydrating.0 -

Well, since Rick hasn't been
Well, since Rick hasn't been feeling well enough to visit his kids, I'm going to pick them up tomorrow and bring them here to make gingerbread houses. :-) I figured that he'll be able to sit at the table and have some real one-on-one time with them without exhausting himself. Oh goodness, I just this second realized that I need to put the houses together tonight so that they can decorate them in the morning! Arrrrugh!!! I totally forgot about the "construction" time! :-D Well, I'd better sign off and start building houses... Good night all! Cynthia0 -

I took your advice, went to our company holiday dinner + had a fantastic time. People stayed later than I expected, I was pretty tired at the end. Food + wine was fantastic. I talked a lot. My husband was so happy I went + has asked me a few times if I thanked my Spanish friend for encouraging me to go. He now knows I can do more when I push myself a little - just have to make sure I can relax the next day. I am now on hydration. It was funny; I said last night to my husband, "I hope the nurse doesn't come too early tomorrow since I am out late." When I got home, my daughter said, "Oh, the nurse called; she will be here at 9AM". I thought she was joking; they never come here that early. But of course she was NOT joking! LOL Thanks again Pepe.0 -
We helped a friend move
Had a wonderful day yesterday helping friends move from one house to another, loading/unloading the van, tickling the baby, being with good people making the move a little easier.
It was a more physically active day than I've had in a long time, and it was wonderful! Camaraderie and work balance each other nicely.
Today, we have freezing rain - at home doing chores. Somehow, the same chores are more fun at someone else's house. Also working on light menus for today - tomorrow is my husband's prep for his colonoscopy. His prior one (5 years ago) was incomplete, as the prep didn't do its thing. Despite that, his dr said he could wait before trying again. Here's hoping 1) that the prep works this time, and 2) that all is clear. (No history of colon cancer in his family - this is just "routine".)0 -

know that most of times , when we feel bad is mostly a problem of attitude and mind!.Concerning the nurse, what a bad luck! hahaha but life is like a bad joke!
