Just started oxaliplatin and 5 FU.Anyone who took it? Does it help?

    Hi Sara,

    I believe my dad is getting a few of these. I don't exactly remember all the names, but a few sound familiar. He's been handling the chemo fine. He is going in for the chemo-ablation on Tuesday. You said your dad had that done? How did it go for him.

    oxaliplatin and 5 FU
    My partner started oxaliplatin and 5 FU two months ago and has had a seemingly amazing response, with the liver function going back to almost normal in a short time. From being in constant pain, he is now virtually pain free. I am wondering if anyone else has had good results and whether this treatment can be continued for a long period. Our oncologist says one year, that seems pretty extreme. Thanks, Audrey
