Just an update...

New: weird, soft, lump on my left ankle (disappears when I'm not standing)...not a blood clot...Doc has no clue MRI scheduled for Dec. 14. Also scheduled for Dec. 14: Mammogram (routine)

6 month blood draw: Jan. 5
6 month CT scan, abdo, pelvis, chest: January 12
6 month Onc. appt: January 17
7 month Gyn Onc. appt: sometime in February.

One year cancerversary (date of diagnosis) January 18.

Current physical state: exhaustion (caused no doubt by husband and father illnesses and work related evening events)

current emotional state: called for an ativan refill...nuff said.

current outlook: Optimistic, Polly Freakin' Anna continues to thrive!

Wishing you all a Happy Happy Holiday! Whatever else is going on, we've made it this far!

Love and Hugs!

Leesa

    Could it be lymphodema?
When lymphodema starts (and it still curable at this stage!) your ankles or just 1 ankle can swell when you stand a lot, and then totally go down to normal each night or after you prop up your legs. Do you have any 'travel socks'? (those low compression knee highs for long air flights)? No one would take my lymphodema seriously in those super early stages, but I got several pair of those travel socks and they kept my ankle from swelling and made my legs feel great. & when I finally got a referral with a lymphpodema specialist, she said I did the right thing; I kept it under control. Just an idea...

I don't think so, it's just a ping pong ball sized lump just above the ankle bone on the outside of my calf? It actually starts out larger in the morning and goes down throughout the day? Very odd
