Hernia repairkhl8 said:I am cleaning the house and
I am cleaning the house and getting the pantry stocked for Next thursday I will be in thospital for the Hernia repair and then stuck in the house for all of the holiday season!
Bummer HUH?
Kathy
It's no fun, Kathy, but at least you're getting it over and done with. Make sure you ask for an extra binder at the hospital - you'll want one to wear while the other is washed.
I'm glad I had it done - no more belly bulge (at least from the hernia!) and no more worries when I'm active. I also appreciated the drs having a chance to look around and make sure everything was still clear.
I'll be thinking of you.

Not much
Well, I'm still quite sick, so not too much. My Relay For Life team has our Breakfast With Santa fundraiser tomorrow, so I'm going to try to get there for a bit. My grandchildren are supposed to come, so I want to be there for them. *smiles*
On Sunday afternoon, if I feel okay, I need to go to a funeral service for a dear lady who passed away. She is the mother of a sorority sister of mine, and she actually joined the sorority as well (it's a service organization). She was 96!
*hugs*

A Christmas Carol
We are going to see the theater production of "A Christmas Carol" on Saturday. It has become a tradition for our family to go every year. It's always is a great show and really puts us in the holiday spirit. Also, I am taking my daughter to a "Happy Birthday Jesus" party at our church. They are going to sing Christmas carols, make crafts, and enjoy treats. She'll love it!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Hugs,

Snow, snow, and more snow
It is snowing outside like crazy, so I am happy to be inside sipping some red wine and watching it.0 -
Ah...Friday!
My Boyfriend and I are planning to visit friends in Maryland tomorrow and we'll stay till Sunday afternoon. They recently bought a house on the water and it will be our first visit (to the new house). And just relaxing and glad to have the weekend to do it!0 -
Saturdays
I spend every Saturday waiting. Our youngest son is in Civil Air Patrol and he does all sorts of missions, trainings and even gets to fly a plane on Saturdays. Today is an Emergency Services training day. We drive almost an hour each way to the airport in Cartersville. Since it's so far and gas is costly, I stay the day and knit, read, go out to lunch with the cadets and club officers (adults), knit, read and wait. Sometimes I walk around Hobby Lobby or Target, but not much else. Nick is doing so well in this organization and has so many wonderful friends. That, in itself, is rewarding to me.
Since surgery, I've had problems with constipation so I have to get up 2 hours early and hope for the best before time to leave.0 -
Hope you got a great one too Cynthia!LivinginNH said:Weekend
Hi all,
Well, I'm going to put up a Christmas goods table at our neighborhood church. And my Mom is making lot of yummy cookies - some MIGHT make it to the Sale Table. ;-) Later on Rick and I are planning to have Chinese food for dinner - his first "real food" since the HIPEC surgery last month. I hope that everyone has a great weekend! Cynthia

selling real Xmass trees for the scouts 8am Sunday morning
cannot sleep, got some got ideas for cancer prevention see my other post.
My kids and I have the first roster to sell real Xmass trees for our scout/cub group.
Its should be fun, first year I have done this. Its the main funds raiser for the cub group.
My daughter loves her cub group and the xmass trees are cheap.
Anyone want a real tree, just let me know.
We are in the shire, Sydney, australia. Its a long flight to come and collect them.
Then we have a massive big scuba dive club xmass party in a national park.
then in the afternoon we goto to our friends xmass street party.
So it should be fun but the weather is a bit overcast0 -

Scuba diving almost but for bag and blood issuespepebcn said:Wow Pete you got such many things to do!

The weather here is rainy. If you ever come to sydney give me a call for lunch.
I think I could dive but may have some bag issues as I only have a wetsuit.
Almost 8 weeks since surgery and I feel like I could handle diving physically except for
lugging the gear around. In the water would be fine. Actually thought about diving today
as about 40 of us normally dive 8am and then have this all day feast at Kurnell. I figured I would have to get a blood test before the dive in case something was a miss. I cannot pester my ONC any more this week. Just got a letter out of her for my health insurance.
I don't take my relative engergy and health for granted and in a way I making hay while the sun shines today figuratively speaking. I am optimistic but not kniave about the many joys of folfox6.0 -
