Hey
Bobby,
As a Christian myself, I certainly understand where you're coming from, but I've learned that you don't win anyone over if they're too offended to pay attention. *smiles*
I'm glad you're going to find another to share your beliefs and still remain a member of this community. I know you sincerely seek advice and help as you fight your cancer.
*hugs*

I absolutely support you in your beliefs and am glad that you have a great support for your fight. After reading all the threads, I don't think you really caused any bad feelings and I hope that you didn't take any responses as an assault on your beliefs as I don't believe that was anyones intent. I think that people were trying to kindly say that we'd hate to have someone come on the boards for their first visit who didn't agree with you for whatever reason and then not stay to receive the help, hope, experience and love that we so want to share. Especially with a newcomer who might have a lot going on that they are trying to sort through. HUGS to you Bobby -

I did not interpet your post as preaching or you trying to come across as a preacher, deacon, etc. I interpreted it as a personal expression of how you are dealing with your cancer. This is no different than someone stating that he or she doesn't feel God is a part of their jorurney. Too each is own. Not sure why we have to be cautious about expressing our own thoughts just because someone doesn't agree with them. You aren't trying to push your beliefs on anyone.
For the record I am where you are when it comes to my faith and how it has help me deal with my cancer.
God bless,

Please allow me to point out this post: ONLY GOD KNOWS
It was the initial one, where you said:
"BY THE STRIPES OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST WE ARE HEALED...CANCER I
DEMAND YOU TO LEAVE OUR BODIES AND GO TO THE FEET OF MY LORD
JESUS CHRIST"
"For those who are remember to pray each and every day to our
father who truly is the one who will heal you not the doctors or the chemo. "
Insinuating that only a belief in Jesus Christ will save one from cancer is never
taken well by all those that do not share that belief as a remedy for cancer.
Saying that doctors and/or chemo won't do a thing for anyone, and that
only prayer will suffice, is bound to offend.
You see, Bobby, it's not the simple comments regarding any religious
belief that bothers anyone, it's the insinuation that nothing less than
what you subscribe to, is going to be of use in the fight against cancer.
Those comments are best left at the forum dedicated for religious
dialog, if one wishes to avoid conflict and ill feelings.
It was a simple recommendation Bobby, with all good intentions implied.
It would be in your best interests to refrain from the continual dialog
regarding your perceived persecution of your religious beliefs, since
it is only serving to divide people, not join them together in a battle that
belongs to all of us.
I'm typing this to you in open forum, in an attempt to re-establish the
total moral support that each one here strives for.
We are all together in our battle against cancer and for any constructive
information regarding survival. We simply cannot afford to be divided
by any assumed differences, religious or otherwise.
Thank you for understanding.
Good health!

As you well know, we don't always agree with each other, (I think maybe once we did), but here you go, another post that I have to agree with you on.
Well said.
Respects,
Winter Marie
