Chemoablation for liver mets

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the discussion forum. I have questions about chemo-ablation for liver tumors. My dad had rectal cancer 3 years ago. The cancer has now metastasized to the liver. He was unable to have the tumors cut off because he has cirrhosis of the liver. He is going to be meeting with a doctor that does chemo-ablation. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with this? What about other treatments? Has anyone heard about the injection of "beads" into the tumors.
Any thoughts and options would be helpful.
Thanks,
Lisa
