Thanksgiving tradition

Every year, my family creates a 'thankful book'. Each member of the family gets a page, and we write what we are thankful for in that year. When the kids were little, they told me what to write or drew pictures. It is one of the highlights of Thanksgiving to go back to previous years and read what we wrote.

This year will include my thanks to the many warriors here who are helping me get through this.

    I love it! What a wonderful
    I love it! What a wonderful thing to do. You can read back year after year after year. I would spend the day crying reading from those we have lost :(

    I love it!
    That is such a great idea! I always had my family say one thing they were thankful for that they did not say the previous year. We always took turns with our thanks before digging into the meal. It never occurred to me to have it done in writing.

    Adore this idea .. Happy Thanksgiving and I hope
    this tradition continues for many years. Hope you don't mind, but I might suggest/start something like this .. and have everyone coming over for Christmas dinner bring a list - things we are greatful for.

    Such a meaningful family tradition - and so very sweet of you to include us! I'm touched, and honored. As I've typed dozens & dozens of times (at least!) on this board - we're all here to support & encourage each other. Caring for each other using our keyboards. :-)
