Thanksgiving has taken on a renewed meaning for me this year. I wanted to thank all the ladies and the few gentlemen too for the collective wisdom that is preserved here.

This site is so much richer and ultimately valuable by the contributions and shared insights of all that visit.

When I was first diagnosed I googled "breast cancer survivors" Sandra Day O'Connor was on a couple of those lists, I recently recalled and verified that Betty Ford and Happy Rockefeller both had mastectomies when I was still in high school.

A presenter and survivor at a recent "New Normal" gathering mentioned that we often latch on to negative stories and tales...the pessimist in us maybe. I am humbled by those that have shared their journeys and have demystified the process so that mine was a less frightening.

Peace on Earth, and I am still working on that good will part. Now get off my porch!
