my wife hates the pep scan

my wife has mmmt and she gets a pep scan every 3 months and she does not like small areas any suggestions

    Ask her doctor for a sedative such as Valium before the scan. They are usually happy to accomodate such requests.

    Hello and welcome to you and your wife to the caregiver discussion board. I agree, ask the dr. to give her some type of sedative before the scan. She can take this orally, or they can give it to her in an IV. Do not be afraid to ask, many people are claustraphobic. Best of luck. Keep in touch.
