The Xmas Spirit?!!!

My mother is in the middle of chemo. She actually has 3 treatments left. Happily she has had enough energy to decorate the entire house for Xmas, with a little help. I was expecting some side effects by this time, but she decorated and put up 3 Xmas trees and has gotten the Smithfield ham.
As her daughter, I want to tell her not to make a big fuss, but this time I just responded by telling her to listen to her body. Right now she doesn't seem to be tired. She was relinquishing control over household activities to me and my sister. Now she is taking control again with making the lists for Thanksgiving and Xmas. She isn't handing the lists to us for implementation. She is doing that herself and if she needs help she is calling my teenage cousins or hiring people to assist. She has found her way.

That is so great that your mother is feeling so good! Sounds like she's getting back to "normal" and that's always a good thing! You all are going to have a great holiday season! I bet it's wonderful for you guys to watch her go!

ahhh Ketziah....that is great. I am glad to hear your mom is doing so well. As a caring child you must be worried that she will over-do it...but you know...sometimes chemo just gets so bad that you honestly can't do. If you mom is able it must be making her happy too.
have a great holiday

ENJOY THE SEASON
It's really nice to see your mom is enjoying the holiday season. I too am really getting into Christmas this year as it's my first since my diagnosis and I too only have 3 treatments left after a VERY long 9 months. I pray that she will have easy treatments and that when they are done the cancer will be gone forever...0 -
Great
This is probably something that she really needed to do to lift her spirits too. What better way than to feel Christmas all around you. Good for her.
