What are the measurements for the baking soda, salt and hot water mixtur for thrush? should this be done after brushing? Are hot, warm foods better than cold?

Jean .. this is what I've found and have used ...
    Baking Soda / Vinegar Remedy

Make a solution of one-teaspoon baking soda in eight ounces of water. Use a cotton swab to wipe the solution on the insides of cheeks, gums and tongue several times a day, more so after eating. Prepare a fresh solution every day, and stir well before using.

    or

    Thrush Treatment
    Rosemary Sage

A very good thrush treatment is to mix 1 tablespoon of sage with 1 tablespoon of rosemary in 1 cup of boiling water. Let the mixture cool off and then use it as a mouthwash every 30 minutes.

    Apple Cider Vinegar

Mix 1/2 cup of water with 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar. Use this mixture to rinse out the mouth every 3 hours.

    Mint Thyme

Mix 2 teaspoons of thyme and 1 tablespoon of dried mint into 1 cup of boiling water. Let it sit for about 30 minutes, then use this thrush treatment as a mouthwash.

    Raspberry

Mix 1 tablespoon of raspberry leaves with 1 cup of boiling water. Let it sit until it cools off. Strain the mixture and then apply this thrush treatment to the inside of the mouth with a swab 3 times per day.

    I hope this helps!

    the other thing about the
the other thing about the nyststin is to make sure you dont drink or eat for a bit after swishing it around your mouth. It has to coat the area real well and swallow to go down your throat. I also took probiotics as a yeast infection takes root because the good bacteria are killed off. Dont know if it helped but cant hurt.

    Hey, another Jean!
Here's the recipe (pretend to be a Baldwin Sister when you make it!)

    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    1 quart water

Put all in a pretty decanter, leave on counter in bathroom. EVERY TIME you visit the bathroom, rinse and gargle with this. The only time I got a yucky mouth was when I forgot to use it for the first 3 days after chemo. I usually used it for a week after chemo...works like a charm. (Oh, my sis, the oncology nurse is the one who gave it to me, so it's vetted)

I'm going to make a separate post so "the recipe" will be easier to find.

    So sorry, I mentioned the
So sorry, I mentioned the ingredients but not the amounts. I see someone did, and they are the same that I have. I sure hope this has helped you, It did help me. When my mouth got the sorest, I used it everytime I thought about it, maybe 8- 10 times that day.
But, my being new to all this, I have a couple of questions for our "Sisters", is this something that will show up after each treatment, and if so, will it get progressively worse with each treatment?
Guess I'll be thankful for now that my mouth is better...

    Tryin' to keep smilin'
