My brother just got his ct scan back and it was not good. They said that his numbers had doubled and that the cancer is spreading to all of his organs. I don't really know what all of this means but the doctor said that there really is no need for him to continue the chemo. I am so very sad don't know what to do I am scarred to see him and look into his eyes. Lord help us

I know how you feel.
Hi Rankind - I am so deeply sorry about your Brother. I am going through the same thing with my father. He stopped chemotherapy a few weeks ago and it has been tough. I know how you feel, and I want you to know that you have come to the right place. We are here for support, to listen to your fears, concerns, and pain, and of course to send our prayers. Welcome to the boards - I am fairly new also.
I am sending prayers for you and your family.0 -

Prayers and hugs
I am sorry to hear your news, Rankind. Without a doubt it is the day none of want to face about any of our loved ones.
Praying for God to give you, your brother and the rest of your family the strength and grace to deal with whatever is sent your way.
Please remember in your sadness and grief God loves you and when any of us leave this life, it is a transition to a much sweeter one.0 -

Thanks to all for the words of encouragement Your prayers are much needed
Don't be scared to look him in the eyes. Let him know you love him. Take this time to spend as much time as you can with your brother. Take care0 -

Thinking of you and your brother as you go through this horribly difficult time. What good advice to not be afraid to look him in the eyes. Never thought about that before. ((Hugs))0 -
Sorry
I am so sorry, that is hard news to hear. Please don't avoid looking into your brother's eyes. I know my husband cherished his last days and the friends and relatives who came to see him. Most came away feeling better, too. Loving someone is a real blessing. Losing them is difficult. Cherish whatever time you have. Make him as comfortable as possible. Talk about the important things that you both remember and love. Know my thoughts are with you. Fay0
