Hi , My mom has nsclc and also had a tumor removed from her brain . All her pet scans and brain mri show progress no new tumors and shrinking of the tumors in the lungs . The problem is she seems to be more and more unsteady by the day and her legs and feet are swollen.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jean

    Is she on decodran?
    My mom

    Is she on decodran?

My mom presented with slurring speech and balance issues, we thought she had a stroke....it was SCLC w/mets to brain. The decrodran is a steriod that helps with the brain swelling and should help remedy these symptoms.

Also, you may want to ask about a spinal tap to check spinal fluid for cancer...

    My best to you both.
