Rick,
I think what you are asking is your cancer advanced. If you are in complete remission, it means there is no activity of cancer in your body. Are you in complete remission? John (FNHL-1-4A-5/10) REMISSION
Rick,
I am not exactly sure what you mean by advanced. Can you clarify? Like John says complete remission means no cancer and a very good thing.
Are you saying that you are having new symptoms after your chemo?
Thanks,
Beth

What I mean is that if I am symptomatic , showing enlarged lymph nodes , did I have this disease all long but never showed any symptoms? In other words did I have this disease for ten years and just now it got advanced enough to show symptoms? It is hard to explain.

Rick,
I don't know if you have lymphoma or not. The only way to tell is make an appt. with a Onc. Doc to be tested. Swollen glands are one of the symptoms, but it does not mean you have lymphoma. There are other symptoms as well such as night sweats ,loss of weight and fever. Even all these symptoms still do not say you have lymphoma. It does not say you do not have it either. The only way is to be checked and have test done to be sure. You asked if you could have had it for years and not know it. The answer is yes. Some lymphomas are very slow growing and may take years to ever show up. Others are faster growing and will not take as long. Please have yourself checked as soon as possible to aleviate your fears.
