Nanoknife A Go

Hubby had his Pet Scan yesterday and we got the phone call this morning to confirm that the liver was the only spot to lite up on the scan, I never thought I would be happy to only have one spot lite up, but we got the ok from his team to do Nanoknife. The tumor is about 4 cm and they say he is a excellent candidate for this procedure. He had a liver resection in July 2006. We should have our official surgery date next week. Will keep you all informed on this procedure. Thanks for all of your support over the years, and I love you all.

interesting!
Hi Patti,
I'm really interested in how this goes for your hubby. I talked about nanoknife with my oncologist today and he wasn't very enthused about it- said he had sent a few of his patients to be evaluated for it (at Univ. of Calif at Irvine in Orange County, CA) & said none of the patients ever went through with that, as they were supposedly advised to get cyberknife or have surgery instead. I suppose that just means that was only about those particular patients' cases, but my onc said he didn't think it was worth pursuing for me.
I hope all goes well & please do let us know how it goes- I'm still not throwing the idea totally out, in spite of what my onc said.
