Congrats RooDee! If your insurance won't pay for the test, maybe your oncologist could contact the company that does the test to see if they would do it for you for free?

Someone from the OncoTypeDX lab will probably call you. They are wonderful. Most insurance companies will cover at least some of the cost. Also, anything that is not covered can be scaled down depending on your income. They also have some free options for women who can't afford the test. They are very helpful. My insurance covered it as out of network so they appealed the decision for me. The insurance company cut another 1,000 off my cost. In the end I paid 800 for a 3,000 test even though I had hit my deductable. The lab accepted 50 per month. It was well worth the cost.
