Oh My Gosh!
Ummmmm....I'd be high tailing it outta that place and looking for a new hospital and new docs! Obviously, they were looking at someone else's scans, or they don't know how the hell ot read them! Either way, I'd be really nervous and outraged! You need to ask a LOT of questions! Whew...you weren't kidding when you said you had a doozy!

They told you that you didn't have a uterus.
Has the check cleared the bank yet?
This is bound to have an interesting explanation. -

I agree with everything that Sally said. Are they trying to tell you that you grew a new uterus?

I agree with Sally--it is *definitely* time for a 2nd opinion and new docs!
and if they *were* looking at the correct scans and *do* know how to read them, maybe you need to get ready to sue somebody!

I've heard of phantom pain
I've heard of phantom pain but a phantom uterus??? I would want them to double check they are reading the right scan, I know I was once shown an x-ray to explain my son's upcoming knee surgery when my husband noticed it was not his e-ray....we were upset! Soooo...never hurts to see your name on the x-ray.

Wow!
That is a doozy! And here I thought it was crazy that I had a pregnancy test done even though I had a hysterectomy over 12 years ago!
I too have learned that PetScans aren't always "reliable". I had a spot on my stomach, had to have more tests done to rule out Stomach Cancer, all because I was bloated from eating cheese with my high-protein breakfast!
However, it still sounds like you just got the news of NED, so Congratulations!!

Does
your dr have an explanation????????? I had an endometrial biopsy and ovarian/pelvic MRI and ultrasound prior to bilateral mastectomy because I was experiencing spotting and I'm 11 yrs post menopause. All turned out ok but I never had a hysterectomy. I hope it's only scar tissue the PET scan picked up on........
