I'm in LA county
I haven't been to any "live" support groups, but I do know that City of Hope has some at their facility in Duarte. That's where I had all of my treatments, but it was a little too far to go to make it to the meetings.
Feel free to send me a PM if you want more details about COH. I was very happy with all of my treatment there.
Welcome to the club nobody wants to join.

I cannot get a referral there at all. I've tried and tried but insurance keeps turning it down. -

I interpreted your screen name as your name is "CC" and you're in "Cincinnati" -- wow, I got that wrong!
There's a bunch of us here in various parts of Southern California -- some down near San Diego, others up around Santa Barbara. In fact, we had a wonderful "reunion" in Long Beach back in August Whereabouts are you?
I'm in the San Fernando Valley, and have attended some support groups at WeSpark in Sherman Oaks. Let me know if you'd like their contact information.

There are a lot of other good hospitals and cancer centers in So Cal, though, so hopefully you will get approval for one that will take good care of you, too.
There are several of us in the So Cal area, so I'm sure you'll also be hearing from some others as well. -
TraciInLa lives in ...LA!
TraciInLa lives in ...LA! And she did post about a support group~ perhaps she will see this and weigh in! I am further north in Santa Barbara~ hope you find what you are looking for! A dozen or so of us from the area got together for lunch in August...I wouldn't be surprised to find out you live nearby to one of the Kindred Spirits. Where in So Cal are you?
Hugs,

not too far from UCR .. I've been involved in 2 groups that fizzled out here - both referrals - ACS.. call our local office -- CCinCin. Then again .. I am always willing and able (not working) to meet with any female or male - breast cancer WARRIOR.
1SuferMom met with me .. a few weeks before I started my chemo treatments, she put my mind at rest - and this meeting keep me sane for a few weeks. I would cherish the opportunity to do the same for you .. Just let me know.
My keys are in my hand .. !
