Good News on Scan

Just got back from the oncologist today. I hadn't seen her for 3 months and I went in for scan results. She told me I just crossed the 21 month NED line since my liver resection. My CEA is tracking at 2.3, down from my high of 300 (before surgery). I have been off chemo for exactly one year. She said that a clean scan at 24 months is a good sign but I will try not to worry about that scan until January.

In 3 days we will celebrate the 2nd birthday of our youngest daughter, Katherine. In 5 days we will celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. In 7 days we will celebrate my husband's 45th bday. And in 9 days, my 41st bday. Life is good.
