Lung stent placement. Need help

Hi everyone,
My mums going into hospital tomorrow in order to have a lung stent placed. She has stage 4 lung cancer with mets to the brain and is 67 yo.
Can anyone help me and tell me if they know if its a dangerous procedure.
I am really at a loss, I have mum going into to hospital tomorrow and my husbands left and gone to dads home town to pick him up because he has leukemia and is unable to live alone.

If anyone can help with the stent issue I would really appreciate it.
