Missed my 1st Cancerversary...oops!

Well im happy to announce i am cancer free....my tests said NO CANCER and that it is just a frozen shoulder. (My onc told me my other test are negative also).
Now i have a new set of problems cuz ive been going to physical therapy for the frozen shoulder and we decided to go that route first and if that doesnt work then i will get put under so they can break my arm loose. Everything was going good till i just found out im loosing my Insurance now everything is on hold tell i get things straightened back out.
Also a few days ago i got my port removed...im happy and sad about that. Man that was a weird experience, watching them cut you open and remove this forien object.
PS Does this mean i should be taking NED for trip on the dance floor?

That's awesome news and couldn't have been given to a more deserving person. Enjoy your new status. I also hope you get the frozen shoulder taken care of. What are the symptoms and cause for that?
Dancing with Ned a wonderful place to be. hope the shoulder strightens out soon! -
Jo jo!!!! Our NED is a
Jo jo!!!! Our NED is a tireless dancer, has impeccable moves, loves any and all music, and never makes any other men or women jealous~ he is unique that way. However, if he has one tiny personality flaw, it's that he tends to be impatient...I have heard that sometimes, when we think he is warming up his dancing shoes, he is actually tapping his feet waiting for us to Stand Up And Dance!!!!
I think it is grand to forget a cancerversary~ our bodies and psyches have had enough reminders~ who needs to have the calendar circled for that?? LOL That was then, this is now!!!
Dance, dance, dance! May you never ever stop twirling and dipping and spinning!

Jo Jo, you most certainly should be dancing! NED has got his arms out and the music is playing. So, congrats on Dancing with NED! Isn't it wonderful!
I am sorry about your shoulder. I hope the PT takes care of it for you.
You need to celebrate big time, so, make your plans and enjoy the party.

You deserve the best dance ever. Congrats on your anniversary. I can relate somewhat to the shoulder--I have a torn rotator cuff which I've had injected with cortisone awhile back and that helped tremendously (but it's temporary). It still gives me fits periodically when I've done too much lifting. Hope you sort that out and it gets better soon. PTs can be amazing.
About the insurance crap--don't even get me started. I realize in a country this size, it's a very complex issue. But, I hate the way the insurance companies practically dictate your medical care. It's not right and it's not fair. And, all the politicians blah, blah, blah about it--no one has a solution--only false promises. See, I better shut up now!
Take good care, JoJo.

So happy to hear the good news! Sorry about the frozen shoulder thing, though. It's very common in women in their 40's and 50's. I had it, too, but eventually just went away. I did do stretching excercises, heat, cold, etc. Then the cancer came and I had other issues to worry about!! Maybe that's why it went away!!! LOL!
Anyway, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy your dance with Ned!!
My best to you,
Patti -

JoJo,
Yes, start dancing
JoJo,
Yes, start dancing with NED but maybe no dipping right now. But definitely a great waltz around the floor that will go on and on and on. Hope all goes well with the shoulder and that the insurance gets straightened out. If it isn't one thing it is another.

A frozen shoulder
Hi Linda
A frozen shoulder is when you cant move it past a certain point and it is very painful if moved or forced beyond that point. Usually due to not using it after surgeries.
My frozen shoulder happened cuz through out my surgeries i kept getting infections or risks of the incision re-opening so there for i wasnt suppose to be active with my arms...so after time and more surgeries of repeating this eventually it caught up with me. Also i was never completely healed before my next surgery - my range of motion was pretty bad but my incisions got better so they did the surgeries. There are other causes of frozen shoulder too.
I havent watched the weather but its not snowing yet...just getting chilly out and im a wimp when it comes to being cold...i tell everyone my body likes tropical weather not northern winters...Lol! -
