Is it possible to have one positive result with this disease or is it always bad news?

Big CT scan this wednesday....I fly out to NY a week from now to be there for the reading of the results....we have not had one good one...from the beginning...is it possible for there to be "no progression" or is that asking too much? Has anyone had this happen once they've had a recurrance or is it always going to be....sorry but there has been more growth? I guess there's no point in hoping for no progression if it really isn't possible...so far, we've never had that...so I am beginning to wonder if that's just our reality...Mom had really bad diarreah last night. Of course, I think that's the cancer...although the cancer causes more constipation right? I hate CT scans...I hate this process...
