Shoulder Pain from Liver Mets

Comments

My dad had Pain
in his shoulder as well. It didn't appear until after he had is 28 radiation treatments. He also had liver mets. So...not sure if the pain was because of the liver mets or more likely, that the radiation damaged some nerves that go up to the shoulder.
He was on some heavy duty pain meds, but hated it and it caused other side effects, so he went to an accupuncturist. Whatever the Dr. did was a miracle. He got off the meds and is pain free! It took about 6 weeks, 3 times a week of treatments, but worked for him.

Thanks, Sally! You just reminded me about accupunture -- thank you. I am visiting him tomorrow and I will talk with him about the idea. Thanks for your reply and advice! -
You're Welcome
Didn't think my reply would be of much help, but what do I know?? LOL. Just goes to show you, by sharing a bit of our own experiences, it can be of help to others:)
Hope it works for him if he decides to try it! Keep us updated. I'll be thinking of and praying for you all.
Blessings,
Sally
