CSN just put up a new board for those of us with long-term survival issues...a bit different than when we were in the trenches, but still very many real concerns...

Check it out!

Hugs, Kathi

This year i am 26 years from

This year i am 26 years from my diagnosis of 2 different breast cancers in the same breast, no family history of any cancer.

    Had mastectomy, chemo.

Several times I had to have biopsies ,in my chest wall for microcalcifications, the other breast for a benign tumor.

I was a young woman when I faced cancer, mom and wife, thanks to my aggressive treatment saw my kids finish school, go to college, marry.

Now I am a widow that is a senior, and my scars remind me of my cancer, they becomed active, they itch, my chest and underarm from where 18 lymph nodes were removed ache badly.

Are any of you with this aching and itching problems?

I have an excellent medical team for following my health, I am fully aware that breast cancer can be back at any time, any place of the body.

Hope to see more long term POSTS.
