Hi,
My mom has AML and had a tumor in her chest cavity. She achieved remission from the first induction chemo but it only lasted a few weeks. She went for a second induction chemo but it had little to no effect on the leukemia. The doctors say that the chemo is ineffective against her leukemia and that they need to look into clinical trials. We are very nervous about choosing a trial... i believe the one they were going to try is called actinium. Does anyone know anything about this drug or other drugs that may be better? Please help.
