scan results
just a quick update on my mom in law. The scans show mets to her brain. She will attempt to have cyberknife radiation and will be under hospice care. I know many of you have said prayers for her, please continue to pray for Delores.
I hope all of you are holding strong.
I have had a bunch a difficult days. Some is due to fear of the upcoming tx. Some is due to increased pain and fatigue. Some of it is just my life right now..

Sorry!
Hi Lisha,
I'll keep Delores in my prayers, and thank you for sharing her name with us as it will be nice to say her name in my prayers. I hope the cyberknife radiation goes well for her. Is it a painful procedure? I'm sorry you have had so many difficult days and hope that your up-coming treatments will help a bit by ending all of this waiting you have been dealing with. Do you have medication that works for the pain you are in? I sure hope so. Remind me of the date you go in for treatment,ok? Take care Lisha and I'm thinking good positive thoughts for you.

Hi Sue,
Thank you for thinking of my mom in law. The cyberknife tx should have very little pain. The hard part will be the face mask. It's a mask that molds tightly to your face and is then bolted to the table. They are planning on 2 ro 3 tx. It's just for pallitive care. Not to extend her life, just improve the quality of it.
I do have meds for my pain, but I try to take as little as I can stand. I take morphine. It does help and I also have the roxanol for breakthrough pain, it just tastes so bad, so I try to not take it. Everything gets busy for me starting next week. Lots of blood work and scans. Then the radiation starting the week of the 15th.
I am trying to arrange for my mom in law to fly out after the cyberknife tx. She and all of us want her to be able to say goodbye to the granchildren and greatgrandchildren. They all live out here in Calif. Trying to find a good time when there is no good time is hard. I am hoping the first week of Dec. Hopefully she will be up to it and I pray that I will be able to be involved... Sigh
Your chemo is next week ? I am trying to remember everyones dates, but my brain is on overload so a lot gets past me.
Peaceful healing

Hi Lisha,
You have so much to deal with! My heart goes out to you and your family. Even though it will be hard with you starting treatment and all...I'm happy you will be flying Delores home for the visit with the rest of your family. It's the right thing to do and you are a wonderful daughter-in-law! I'm glad you have meds that work. It's too bad the one taste so bad, but most pain meds do have a crumby taste. My bedtime Xanax has a terrible bitter taste if you don't swallow it really fast. Yes...my 4th round is on Tuesday next week. Unfortunately the next round after that will be 2 days before Thanksgiving...(pred week) which is never fun for me....gee have I ever mentioned that..hahaha! Our boys are fixing diner together with their wives and we will eat with them....darn good thing because me cooking while on pred might end up with the turkey running out the front door with the mashed potatoes stuffed in it's belly,or God knows where else...ha! Well Lisha, I'm always thinking of you, and next week, (even while on the pred), I'll be sending good positive loving thoughts your way. Try not to stress while waiting for the testing to start. Oh...I almost forgot...I got the wireless mouse for my laptop and just love it. You take care my fellow "Libra"....Love, Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)0 -

Hi Lisha,
I am sending many prayers to your mom-in-law. Lots and lots of worries on your plate right now. Horrible Things happen which we have no control over. Very frustrating. I am so very sorry for your difficult days. Especially your pain and fatigue. Try not to put so much on yourself. You can only do the best you can.
