Im back with great news

Our laptop ws being fixed so I have lost a lot of news from everyone. So, Last wednesday had my last Herceptin. Now on Monday the 25th Im having my ovaries removed to lower my risk of getting ovarian cancer and soon after will have my port removed. Cant wait to remove the port.

Also new on my mom, though the tumor that was removed from her stomach turned to be cancer, they were able to remove all of it. And the PET scan came back all clear. So wonderful news there. Her treatment will be a pill called Gleevec for 1 yr.

    Praising God for that Sister. I had a total hysterectomy myself. Went very well.

    Congratulations on finishing your Herceptin! Yay! Wishing you luck on Monday. We will all be there with you. I actually met with an oncology gyn. this past Tuesday about having my ovaries removed. Let me know how you make out.

    My husband was on gleevec for 3 years for CML prior to his stem cell transplant. It really is a miracle drug...Hope it works well for your Mom..

    for those who have had ovaries removed. How is it for you in terms of lack of estrogen? Is it the same if you have gone through menopause from the chemo?

    Hooray for You and your Mom! So glad to hear you are done with Herceptin! I was done with my treatments this past August. I will keep fingers crossed that all goes well with your surgery and port removal. Will make sure to keep you in prayer, too. Also, it's wonderful to hear the doctors were able to remove all the tumor from your Mom. What a great relief. Go celebrate all the happy news.
