DR appointment

I have another dr appt just a check up (my three month). Why is it that I dont think about this appt until I get a call to remind me of it. Then out of the blue I get overchelmed with feelings. I know that I am in remission but it is always scary going back for check ups.

    Follow-up appts
    I know the feeling as this week is my follow-up appt - 4 mos. I completed treatments July '09 and thusfar, NED. I know I have control with what I eat and how I live my life, so that is my positive. But...we all know cancer can be sneaky and we can do our best and continue on with life.

    I try to visualize myself in appt with doc and him telling me I'm still NED. In otherwords, if you've read or watched the movie/book THE SECRET we look toward what we want, not the negative happenings in a situation. Don't go there to negative and worrisome issues. Not easy is it, but we have to force ourselves.

    Good luck with your appt and visualize yourself hearing the words NED....!!!

    I had a good appt.
    I had a good appt. Everything went fine next appt in 3 months she said that I have to see her every three months for the next two years. I fine with that b/c that is all I want to see her for nothing else. Thanks ladies for the words of encouragement.

    Great News!
    I'm glad all went very well and won't see doc for another 3 months. I do understand abouit not wanting to see them but for checkups. Guess that's why we're in a tizzy before the appt....thoughts of treatments again...yuck!

    Just know you're in the same turmoil as the rest of us....and in the end all works out.

    Go out and enjoy an adult beverage!
