Grade 2/3 AA Frontal lobe

I am writing in regards to my sister in law who had recently suffered a seizure and put her in the hospital where they discovered she had a stage 2 AA. A month ago they removed approximately 90% of her tumor. When the pathology report came back it stated that she also had some grade 3 mixed in with the 2. The 10% that was inoperable will be treated with radiation and she will also recieve chemo in the up comming weeks. She is a 34 year old, mother of 4 and watching her go through the emotional roller coaster is very upsetting, especially when I can't fix it. I am reaching out in hopes to find people with similiar stories and to find people that have beat this! She has so many questions but will not get on the internet because she doesn't want to read anything negative. I am hoping I can relay some of your stories back to her, if not put you in direct contact. I know it would help her greatly talking to someone who is or has been going through the same thing.     my husband is begining his 11th year of life after having a aa3 inoperable tumor. he had radiation, stereotactic radiation and years of chemo. this young mother needs to be at the best teaching hospital in her area for her best chance. it is a hard road as i imagine she is on the steroid decadron. it has side effects but hopefully she won't have to take it too long. believe me she will need all the help she can possibly get during this time. it will take time for her to recover. radiation and drugs are hard on them. right now the important thing for all of you know is that is possible beat this thing.

    Sue, thank you so much for your words of wisdom, it is very nice to hear people that have conquered this awful disease! She is at the best hospital in our area she's going to John Hopkins in Philly. The uncertainty of...Is the radiation going to kill it all? If so will it come back? and of course the common one I'm sure everyone feels that is conflicted with this disease is... why me? I am uncertain if she is taking steriod deadron, I think she's just currently on her seizure medicine she will find out on the 21st when her chemo/radiation will start. I am so happy for you and your husband for having 11yrs cancer free:) I hope and pray 11 years from now I will be able to tell someone her story and help relieve some of there anxiety.     It's probaly a good thing that she doesn't read the information on the internet. It can be quite scary and depressing. I have learned that a lot of people live many years with this tumor. My 18 year old daughter had an AA3 in Feb. 09 and she is doing really well. Just hold her hand, comfort her and encourage her. She is going to pull through this thing. God bless.

    i am hoping you will have good results. you are at the best hospital just be postitive. i remember saying to my friends...don't tell me that he can't make it! keep it to your self. they did and he did.keep posting on this site i will be watching.
