Hello! Having surgery Tuesday, right breast lumpectomy and reduction of both breasts.
How long until the swelling goes down and when can I purchase a bra? Feel very uncomfortable w/o wearing one.

Survgal .. we are all different .. so the best thing to do
in my humble opinion is talk with your Plastic surgeon - he/she will instruct you -- In my case - 2 weeks.

Purchase 1 or 2 inexpensive sports bra's at Wal Mart of Target - no more than $12.00 -- purchase 1 size larger so you can support your breast at night -- no underwire, no extra supoort - just plain jane sports bra - .

I agree with Vicki Sam. Ask
I agree with Vicki Sam. Ask your plastic surgeon and I know he will know so much better than any of us could say what you should do.

    Good luck to you!

    Also agree,
Sports bra or a cami with shelf bra. 10 months from surgery and I still have problems with underwire - it hits right at the incision. Finally found a decent no wire.
