I was diagnosed with stage 111 ovarian cancer last Feb had surgery but they didn't remove anything. After 6 treatments my CA125 was 28 & the tumor had decreased in size and there were no more tumors. After that there was nothing I was told to do or expect. I learned so much from you ladies, from the peach fuzz on my face to how to look for symptoms that the remission is over. I had no idea that it could be controlled with chemo. I don't think I have the best medical support but I am too tired to switch to anymore Dr. I have good support symptoms with my children( I am a widow). I also want to mention that I feel wonderful right now , went back to work etc. Without your help I have found so much support and can look to the future with much more knowledge.

    I'm also so grateful for this discussion every day. I'm so glad that you're feeling so well and have a great support system, it's means so much. When I saw my GP last week, he mentioned that over the years he has had many of patients that have been diagnosed with life threatening diseases. He thinks that the patients who advocate for themselves by gaining as much knowledge as possible, are the ones who do the best.

    I too say welcome to you. I have only participated on this sight for a short while. I was dx May/09 and am NED as of my last round of exams last month. You will find as I have that friends and family will be great supports, but here you are talking to women who are up to bat with this disease. Positive thoughts, smiles and good information. Hope to hear more from you.
