anyone here that had pancreatic cancer or a family memebr that had this? and the whipple procedure?

Uncle had pancreatic cancer
My uncle had PC discovered in March of 2010. He was not a candidate of whipple because of his age around early 70's. It was already late stage when it was discovered. I found a cancer therapy for him in China called BRM therapeutics since the chemo treatments were no longer able to control the spread of cancer and he was considered inoperable. Unfortunately it was too late by the time he started using it in June and passed away in July. Because of my research into BRM therapeutics I still believe that it is effective and can control the spread of pancreatic cancer as well as some other aggressive forms of cancer. The chief researcher of BRM therapeutics is Dr. Zeguang Wang based in Beijing, China. Since I have moved back here I've looked into cancer therapies that I would consider effective, safe, non-toxic, FDA licensed and approved but not available in the States. BRM Therapeutics satisfied me enough use as a treatment for my uncle. Unfortunately it was too little too late. So that is my experience thus far with PC. Im not sure it is the age thing on whipple, but the location and stage and .Im 69.
Sounds like his started in the liver and spread to pancreas.
Or the location was in a area where whipple couldnt help.
I know while I was in recovery the same surgeon attetped a whipple ona man in early70 and Iasked how it went, Surgeon told me, that he couldnt do the whipple on him, but did do a procedure that would help the chemo to work better.

The surgeon told me , " I got it all" and the oncologist has todl me the surgeon looks at evrything around there and didnt see any cance anywhere else. But I did have it in a few of the lymp nodes.
So of course im still concerned it will show in my liver next

I talked to my cousin and you are right. He did not want to do the Whipple. He was late stage when diagnosed at the end of March 2010. He elected to choose a chemo regiment. I had him on BRM Therapeutics for 6 weeks after chemo, and seemed to be getting better until his oncologist told him to stop taking it and start back on chemo. Everything went downhill from there afterward. I don't think his oncologist knew enough about BRM Therapeutics, otherwise I believe he should have kept taking it in conjunction with his chemotherapy. It's such a touchy subject with my family especially when I believe in this alternative and it did not work for my uncle. I have personally seen cancer patients get better which is why I had my uncle on the therapy.
So my apologies for assuming it was his age that prevented him from getting Whipple, especially on a serious issue like this. Your reply has really made me think about my attitude on this board.
