I love your advice. Cake yum! I am beyond jealous--now I can just taste cake--maybe wedding cake or chocolate or doberge??? Cake yum!
Why in the world would someone flag Cynthia's post? Someone needs to get control. And, I wonder if whoever is flagging the posts realize that Greta knows who does it, and, will respond to you by email as to why you are flagging?
I so agree with you Megan and the others, it did get out of control and then someone was only trying to make it worse by posting more new posts about it. I am glad somehow those got taken off.
I, normally, don't even reply to posts that I don't agree with, rather than even give the faintest hint that I am saying that I am right or someone is wrong. I just avoid them and ignore them.
Fighting bc is hard, the hardest job I have ever had and this should be a place where we can have a difference of opinions without finger pointing or personal attacks.
So, thanks Megan for this post! I think you are so right and I hate the caps too.

Oh for heaven sakes...what
Oh for heaven sakes...what this post is from is because of me. I typed a message line in all caps...as do joke posts, recipie posts, and posts in general...for me I type from a cell phone with itty bitty buttons, deal with pain and numbness inhand and arm from surgeries, so sometimes not having to push buttons up and down is a relief. I don't type things to scream, just how they come out is how they come out, typos, punct errors, wrong spellngs and all
Point 2, the msg was not to keep the fire going but to try to figure out what to do...on other sites being flagged is serious and can get you barred from the sight. My msg was saying there was a problem with people including myself and others suddenly being flagged no matter where they post...as with viruses if someone can figure where the problem came from it can be fixed, if it was the inapprpriate action of someone else, fix that...
I don't hsve a lot of experience with this site and have no clue who greta is or how to contact her or how to solve problems like this. As with other issues, I was hoping that one of the sisters would say don't worry just do this, or flagging means this but not that...
Instead I saw Meagans post, realized it was not being taken the way I had hoped and deleted the thrthread. Instead of the issue going away, this thread is turning into something it never was...marines911 thought it was about him because he uses caps normally, others are joining together to ward off evil, which I am not...
So in closing just know that I intended no harm, deleted the post that caused concern and had no ulterior motives. Also I like to think we are all mature enough to realize caps don't mean screaming...seriously, do recipe sharing caps get in your face, or blonde jokes...no because people don't scream here...
sadly I have received some pms that some people are leaving the board because it has become so petty this week...i love yall but maybe they have the right idea...0 -

Thanks Megan for your words and Thanks Marcia for your wise words, and, funny too!
I totally am in agreement with you Megan and Aortus as to some taking words typed to the extreme. I was hoping also that it would finally come to an end. And, I am hoping that when Greta comes on, she will delete the posts that started the tension. And, I hope whomever is flagging just any post will stop it, as, there is no need for it.
I, like others have said, hate the CAPS! Occasionally, someone might use them, but, when they are always used, it is annoying.
This board is wonderful and always has been since I have been on. Occasionally though this sort of thing happens and we always get through it since it is just one or two posts and maybe one or two people adding fuel to the fire.
We will get past it as we always do. The true sisters in pink stay true to each other!
I thank you too Megan, Marcia and Aortus for all that you wrote. I truly agree!
Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy the beautiful fall weather.

Thanks for posting this Megan, I'm sure the majority of us agree with just putting an end to all of that! I'm not sure if this post was meant for me, but I usually only use caps for title and I make new posts so that I don't drag out old ones. I apologize for upsetting anyone with my caps and if this was not for me, please disregard.
I think CAPS are a 'military' thing for some. At least it is with Hubby (Retired USN Rigger). He is very bad about typing in all caps unless someone reminds him to 'quite yelling' as they had to type all reports/paperwork in CAPS - so even still - he slips back into CAPS only often.
Prayers for your family!

I think we all just need to breatheeeeeeeeeeee! I am hoping that by your post Megan and the posts that supported you that the end is here. I also never commented on the post that went too far. It was like my dog is bigger than your dog child game.
I admit, I hate caps too unless they are in a post where someone wants to make a point with that word. Most only use caps in the title to a thread once, not all of the time. It is like yelling or trying to really get attention.
Let's just use the site for what it is meant for and be grown up about it. I think 99% of the time it is.
So, let's all have a huge cyber hug and continue in our fight with the beast.

That is so sweet of
Marcia,
That is so sweet of you but I will look around and go online and see what I can find with this on it. A platter would be simply be put in a cabinet and never used but the thought that you would send it to me means more than you can know. I am thinking that maybe cafepress will have a tee shirt with this or even the hostess site. I will look into it and if I find one I will remember the kindness of a dear friend every time I wear it. I'lll also remember to put cake in my mouth rather than my foot. LOL

I have been watching
Lex,
I have been watching that little pixie wiggle that cute little face and bottom for a long, long time and I will say that I truly admire her determination if not her intelligence. LOL right back at you. Let's all write something fun and full of humor here and hopefully that will reunite our little family here. We just need a little pixie dust, Lex. I sincerely hope no one leaves this board. We all know that families have disagreements and squabbles. Then they mend fences, kiss and make up. My humor is something about left overs being good. Beyond left over food, imagine if you had been in line to board the Titantic and they had no room left and you were one of the left overs. I know that is pretty lame but it's the best I can do on short notice.

I am generally pretty
I am generally pretty astute, if I may say so myself~ but this time, I have no idea who is talking about what or whom! I realize that there is a poster who, due to her own cancer journey, is not very, shall we say, Pink friendly! She makes no bones about her stance, and she sometimes makes me wince, since I am stage 4 with mets. If this is the person in question, I am not sure. But I don't know who or what the CAPS is referring to.
I did send a PM to one of the Kindred Spirits, who was very concerned about the negativity this person was generating. I suggested that she flag the post as flags are anonymous in nature, and give the site administrator ( AKA Greta) the opportunity to read what any of us finds offensive, and take decisive action if needed.
Being flagged may seem drastic, but there is often no other way to alert Greta...it also doesn't mean that anyone will be automatically banned from the site. What I think is offensive you may not and vice versa! This simply gives Greta a heads up so that she can be made aware of anything potentially disruptive.
(I was going to say I didn't know anyone cared if I was wearing a cap while typing~ but I really need a shampoo and didn't have time today yet! To be on the safe side, I got rid of the cap and am moving on and am over having to hide my less than perfect coiffeur!! LOL)
The anonymity of the boards sometimes spills over into being almost without boundaries...as mentioned, we are fighting for our lives. Our emotions, including the frustration, fear, and freeness to vent can certainly color our posts now and again. But, by and large, we are indeed Kindred Spirits and hopefully we can separate the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.
Hugs,

Chen,
I think a thread was put up and then removed but I didn't see it so I don't know. That is a good explanation of the flag. I never quite knew what it did or didn't do. And the cap while typing comment. Priceless. We need this humor right now. Time to turn things around. Anyone else have something humorous to share.

Stef, I love what you wrote. And, I promise that I am spreading Pixie Dust all over the board and over each and everyone of you. Now, I am crossing my fingers and toes hoping that it works. I think it will! ( wink, wink )

I used to sign my name Tinkerbell Lex. Perhaps, I should go back to that.

AMEN! I know exactly what messages you are talking about. I don't think anyone meant to be offensive it just got to the point that posts were going back and forth and it started to become very personal. Those who were involved know who they are. I just sat back and kept reading them without comment. Yes, it is time to take a deep breath and remember why we're all here and that this is a place where we go for information, encouragement and yes, sometimes to vent. BUT, not at each other! Wishing all a happy weekend.

Since I am on anticancer diet (no sugar, no white flour) it is easy for me to walk away.
Seriously, i am really upset about what have been said and as much as I admire you Cynthia, I am shocked by your message to John.
I still think several members need to find courage apologizing to each other and to the board.
As for me, I am taking a break...
My dear pink sisters,
you have a question or want to know my opinion, please write me PM, I will be happy to answer and share my personal experience and views on cancer treatment.

The flagging or reporting offensive on here is anonymous except to Greta, who is part of the staff here that over sees this site. And, she will respond to you as someone wrote, either a thank you or why did you flag that response in an email. And, that is good, so no one can abuse that right on here. Not sure what they do if you do abuse it.

I was sitting here at my computer, thinking happy thoughts and I guess the pixie dust must be working because next thing you know I was flying all over the room. I have always loved Tink. I have a jammie top that reads Tink, Not your ordinary pixie. It is so old and worn but I still wear it. I think Tinkerbell Lex is great and I love that you are so busy living life and loving it. Just drop in every so often so I can get a Tink fix and so we can know what's up with you. One thing I know that I love and I am sure any newbies do to is to hear how there is life after cancer and a good happy one at that. I understand that cyber cigs are okay although I don't care for them much, too strong. LOL
