Ed...what can you say
I can't commend you enough for your courage. I lost my mom on August 29th. Sometime around June we were aware that there were few options for her and she wasn't willing to have any more chemo. She told me that she "wasn't a chicken." You, my friend, are not a chicken either. Take comfort in knowing that despite losing my mom and missing her every day, i keep going back to when she told me she wasn't a chicken. I know she was ready. It isn't fair and I'm sad for you and I'm sad for my mom, but she taught me a lot. She was courageous. I can only hope to have that strength. Bob Dylan said it best:
May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And have others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay, forever young.
