Hex on all fevers!
HI Vinny,
Just wanted you to know I'm think of you and wishing you the very best. Here's hoping your visit with the specialist went well. I'm sure you will share with us all you have learned. Sending prayers that your fever goes away very soon. So sorry you have to be going through all this.
We who have been through more than one type of cancer need to stick together. I never realized just how many of us there are.
I hate cancer!!!!!

I know what your saying Leslie...but believe me,(speaking for myself here)...us first time cancer patients/hopeful survivors, hate it just as much, and truely rely on all of you that have been "around the block a few times" to guide us. The information you share is vital! First time, second, or third...we will all make it through this..."together"...Love...Sue0 -

Been there Done that
Hi All,
Didn't mean to offend anyone. I know we all hate it, how can we not. And it's harder on first time throughs because you don't know what to expect. Let's face it, it's difficult on all of us. I was just trying to reach out to Vinny. Wasn't trying to upset anyone. I love you all and respect all of you. We need to all stick together because no one knows it like people who have lived it.

Hi Leslie,
I wasn't at all upset and sure hope I didn't come across that way. I'm a first time cancer, but I have watched my Aunt battle breast cancer for the last 12 years...going on her 3rd time right now and starting a new treatment shot called Faslodex. That was one of the main reasons I went to see her. I wanted to be with her Tuesday morning for her first shot. She's 85 and it breaks my heart to see her battling this "again". As you said, Cancer is so hard on everyone. Watching her deal with it for so many years and now dealing with it myself, the flood of emotions can be overwhelming at times. I usually drive home 5 or 6 times a year and help her out, but now I will have to wait and see if I'm even able to continue doing it, especially with the 7 hour drive and snowy roads and mountain passes that are hard to handle without having cancer or treatments. I've set up a temporary caregiver to check in and help her, but need to work on getting a family member to move in with her. These things take time to work out, so it's alot to deal with right now. Anyways...just wanted you to know I wasn't up-set....Love...Sue0 -

Leslie,
I wasn't at all upset. I know exactly what you mean. I am a one time cancer person too, but I have, like most of the people on here known someone close that has had it. When someone close to you has cancer it is something like we are going thru it too. In my case it was my father, who had prostate cancer. It was back in 1995,but seems like yesterday. I know ones that have gone thru it more than once are feeling like they are against the wall at times. Years ago cancer was something hardly ever heard of or at least it seems that way compared to how often we hear it now. It is definitely on the rise and something is very wrong here. I know they are making great strides, but at the same time why is it on the rise? I have been told if we have to have it,then lymphoma is the one to have. Still don't like it and its a real pain in the butt.0 -
3+1=4 timer
Hi all,
This is my third time with thyroid and first time with lymphoma. I guess that is 4 times.
We have lots of cancer in our famlies. Hubby had basil cell carcinoma, sister had breast cancer, mom in law has melanoma, mom had bladder and breast. Thats just the closest family members. It goes on and on.....
Peaceful healing to all..
